I'm New to Email Marketing and the Internet...

  • What do I Need to Know?

  • Email DO's and DONT's!

  • Understanding Email Marketing and What to Expect.

It's CRUCIAL that you read this info in its entirety so you understand how to handle your email marketing business. Email marketing can be tough, but compared to other forms of advertising... it is by FAR the most inexpensive way to reach masses amounts of people with your message. BE SURE TO READ the VERY bottom Category!

How Do I Handle Direct Replys and Auto Messages?

  • In all outgoing messages, the system displays your email address in the REPLY field, so if a prospect decides to "reply" to the AutoResponder email messages that the system sent out on your behalf, these prospect replies will go directly to YOU.

Therefore... You may get email replies directly from interested people; you may choose to answer them back via email or, preferably, over the phone (over the phone is easier to have a conversation and continue to build interest, trust and rapport).

  • You may also receive Auto-Messages, Out-of-Office Replies and FULL Email Box notices -- you can simply delete all of these type emails, no need to deal with.

What About "Unsubscribe" or "Remove me from list" Emails?

  • Prospect Opts Out on Their Own.

When the person who wishes to be removed from your list clicks the link at the bottom of any of the emails sent out from the system, they are automatically unsubscribed, and you don't have to do anything.

  • Prospect Wants You to Opt Them Out.

What do I do if I receive an email that says "Unsubscribe" or "Remove me from list"? Occasionally, people do not see or use the unsubscribe link in the emails, and simply send or reply back to you with an email that may say "Unsubscribe" or "Remove me from your list" etc. How to handle it?

    1) Simply note their email address by copying it, and then click the appropriate Global Remove link found on the bottom of every page and paste their email address in and click submit.

    2) You can also log into your backoffice, click on subscribers >> Ban Subscribers. Then copy and paste their email into the text field and click ban email. If you have more then one to remove Use the big text box to copy and paste e-mail address's in to remove and ban (one e-mail address per line)

How Do I Handle Email Filtering and Viruses?

  • Confirm You Are A Human!

You may receive messages generated by someone's Email Filtering Software. You'll know it's this because you'll see an email from email filtering software asking you to identify yourself as a "human" -- it is included with some ISPs such as Earthlink, etc., or sometimes it's a service people sign up for. This software sends an email back to you, asking you to click a link and then type in code to prove that there is a REAL LIVE human behind the message. Simply follow through with identifying yourself to the filter software, so your messages can get through to that person.

  • Email Viruses -- When in Doubt, DELETE!

Also note that, when doing email marketing and sending out messages to people you haven't met you, you do not know anything about them. There are all kinds of people out there in the world, and there is a possibility that an email could be sent that has a virus attached. Therefore, never, never, NEVER open attachments from someone you don't know! Ever! When in doubt, delete it. Most systems do a great job of protecting you from these types of emails, but it is always better to be aware and be safe.

What about Abusive and Mean People and the 'spam' email regulations?

  • System Can Spam Compliance! With the opt-in process, you can be confident that these ARE people who opted in to receive more information about an online home-based business. The documented proof to back this up is retained in Big Hit Network's records, and each and every lead you receive from our system has the IP address and time/date stamp from when the person opted in.

However, VERY IMPORTANT. Please keep reading... you need to understand this up front.

  • Mean People and Fickle Leads!

Very Important #1: Understand that email can be very impersonal and people can be mean when hiding behind their email. You encounter mean people in normal life, but with email it can be worse.

  • Understand that people may use others' email addresses, others' computers, use their work email, think they want a home-based business and then change their mind, or find that their spouse is less than supportive, or they forget; or they signed up on multiple websites or on a website that refers their information to more than one source, etc. They may be getting lots of offers from all of their requests, then get angry and decide they really dont want a home business. Some can be abusive in a reply email back to you. They may even claim they never requested anything! We have seen it all.

Very Important #2: Do not waste your time replying to abusive and mean people. Many times it will be hard to resist doing so! Just don't do it. Simply remove them from your backoffice by clicking on subscribers >> Ban Subscribers. Then copy and paste their email into the text field and click ban email. If you have more then one to remove Use the big text box to copy and paste e-mail address's in to remove and ban (one e-mail address per line). If they replied to one of your autoresponders, you can just click the UNSUBSCRIBE LINK found in the actual email. Just get them removed and move on; focus on your active leads and do not let these kinds of people get you down!

Very Important #3: If you receive a REALLY abusive reply email with foul language or personal threats, please forward the email in its entirety to admin@bighitnetwork.com as we want to make sure this person is REMOVED and BANNED from the system.

Stay positive, keep in the game, keep adding leads to your system... and in time and with repeated exposures, your message will find the right people.

And remember, it ONLY takes ONE KEY Person to change your life in Network Marketing!
